At 8:56 a.m. on February 16, 2021, at Laoting Chemical Industrial Park of Hebei Iron & Steel Group (HBIS), the hoist slowly lifted the coke bucket and charged the coke into the No.3 CDQ unit in accordance with process requirements, marking the successful start-up of the No.3 CDQ unit, for which Huatai served as the EPC contractor.

This project is Huatai’s first full dry quenching project without wet quenching. In the run-up to the Spring Festival, to ensure the smooth commissioning of the No. 3 CDQ Unit and to prepare for the drying-out of the No. 2 CDQ Unit, Huatai leadership dispatched Deputy Director Zong Hua, along with Du Yukui, Wang Zhenxing, Zhang Kunyou and others, to the project site. They sacrificed their Spring Festival break to provide on-site guidance for the commissioning activities. With the active cooperation of the project team members and the construction contractor, the No. 3 CDQ unit was successfully commissioned, earning high recognition and commendation from the client.
