2022 Huatai New Employee Orientation: Forging Ahead Together for Greater Glories

A passionate August witnessed a group of talented individuals joining Huatai. The height of summer meets youthful energy, with vitality and vigor shining in perfect harmony. On August 8, Huatai Yongchuang (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. held the opening ceremony for its 2022 new employee orientation. Company Chairman Xu Lie attended the ceremony alongside the executive team and all middle management. A total of 24 recent bachelor’s and master’s graduates from universities including Beijing Institute of Technology, Northeastern University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing University of Technology, and Shenyang Jianzhu University, along with 37 new employees with prior work experience, participated in the training simultaneously from both Beijing and Anshan.

The leadership expressed their expectation of new employees to grow alongside the company. During the first training session, Chairman Xu Lie began by recounting the company’s history of development and struggle, and explained corporate vision and core values. He also brought up the following three expectations of the new employees: First, they must continuously learn to improve their personal qualities and character; second, they must develop a strong sense of moral integrity and establish a correct outlook on life and values; third, building on their current roles, they should strengthen career planning, and align their personal career goals with the company’s development. He encouraged new employees to face challenges head-on during the company’s rapid growth, to maintain a grateful heart, and to improve personal capacities with a down-to-earth attitude, thereby achieving mutual growth between employees and the company.

As an old Chinese saying goes, “to teach and to inspire, and to pass on the enduring flame”. Department heads, directors of specialized divisions, and backbone staff served as instructors, delivering clear and accessible lessons on topics ranging from company policies and regulations, compensation and benefits, and work procedures to the organizational structures and functions of each department (division), specialized knowledge, and case studies of engineering projects. This helped new employees understand the company’s history, culture, strategic planning and business layout, and familiarize themselves with institutional norms, laying a solid foundation for them to integrate into the new environment and adapt to their new roles.

Staying true to our original aspirations, we move forward hand in hand. At the closing session of the training, new employees actively shared their thoughts and expressed their commitment to advancing and growing alongside the company, striving for transformational development and taking on responsibilities, to realize their personal value and to contribute their strength to the realization of Huatai’s centennial vision.

With earnest guidance, we forge ahead. General Manager Han Dong summarized the training program based on his own experiences. He encouraged the new employees to cultivate a meticulous and rigorous work ethic, to embrace a passion for learning as lifelong learners, to maintain positive thinking, and to cherish every moment. He also shared with them the concept of a “mutually beneficial and reinforcing relationship” between employees and the company, encouraging them to move forward hand in hand with Huatai.

On-site visits offer immersive experiences for new employees. New employees from Beijing and Anshan were organized into separate groups to visit the coke dry coking (CDQ) project at Tangshan Tianshun Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., as well as Anshan Shengmeng Coal Gasification Co., Ltd. and projects at Anshan office building. During these visits, they gained a detailed understanding of the projects’ overviews and construction progress, and witnessed the company’s impressive growth up close.
