On October 7, 2022, Shanxi Minguang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (later referred to as “Shanxi Minguang”) held its groundbreaking ceremony for the 1.56 million tpa Coking Transformation and Upgrading Project and 40,000t High-Performance Carbon Anode Material Project at the High-Quality Steel and New Materials Industrial Park in Yicheng county, Linfen city, Shanxi province. Cui Yuanbin, Member of the Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy Mayor of Linfen, attended the event and declared the official commencement of the projects. Other government officials and business executives in attendance included Huang Xiaojun, Secretary of Yicheng County Party Committee; Li Lizhang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Fujian SanGang (Group) Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Bangcai, Chairman of Shanxi Minguang. Yang Hailin, Deputy Secretary of Yicheng County Party Committee, presided over the ceremony. Huatai Yongchuang’s Chairman Xu Lie and Deputy General Manager Shao Feng were also invited to attend the ceremony.

The project has drawn great attention from government officials at all levels, from Shanxi province to Linfen city and Yicheng county. They expressed strong support for the project’s construction and called for active cooperation from relevant government departments at all levels. This project is a key construction project in Shanxi Province and the largest key construction project in Linfen City. All necessary approvals and procedures had been completed, and project funding had been put in place. Shanxi Minguang intended to build this project into a benchmark project, requiring high quality, safety and timely completion of the project.
